POSITION:                TRANSITION TEACHER

QUALIFICATIONS:     B.A. or M.A. in Rehabilitation Teaching/Education or
related field

 

DUTIES:                    Provides training in job readiness skills and
planning the year's course of study/program
for visually impaired students.  Provides     instruction for students in
classroom, individual                                       and community
based setting.  Works as part of a team to conduct yearly assessments and
writing of IWRP goals.  Prepares lesson plans, reports and maintains records
of students                                       progress.  Uses behavior
management and/or    techniques to increase student progress toward
objectives.  Constructs an optimal learning environment.  Excellent
organizational skills                                         required.
