JOB SUMMARY:

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is looking for the best and
brightest to ensure equal access to education and to promote
educational excellence throughout the nation.  If you are a highly
motivated, creative individual who would like to be involved in
establishing policies on federal financial aid for education, and
distributing as well as monitoring those funds; collecting data on
America's schools and disseminating research; focusing national
attention on key educational issues; and prohibiting discrimination
and ensuring equal access to education, ED is the place for you!

The incumbent serves as an Equal Employment Specialist in the U.S.
Department of Education, Office of Management (OM), Equal Employment
Opportunity Group (EEOG).  This position is involved in internal
Federal equal employment opportunity work that is defined by a body
of laws, regulations, administrative procedures, government and
agency policies, and court and administrative decisions.
