[Jobs] transcription jobs

I have been working as a non-medical transcriptionist for a couple of years
now. The work is rather sporadic, and depending on where you work, the
formatting of the documents sometimes takes longer than the actual typing of
them. It seems the good steady work takes a couple of years of experience
before you can even apply. Still, it's good part time work if you can find
a good company to take a newby on. Usually smaller companies will do this,
but i will warn you, these companies are usually less organized and the work
is often rather sporadic. i have been cramming until 2 AM, then not had any
work for a couple of weeks after that. You usually start out on an as
needed basis, and they don't always need you. But when they do need you...
they really need you. The better thing would be to find someone you know
has steady work.

When I was looking for this type of work i simply googled non-medical
transcription, transcription jobs, non-medical transcription jobs etc. i
found loads of companies and shot my resume off to them. I've ended up
working as needed for several agencies, but you might get lucky enough to
find steady work. I haven't looked for a couple of years now so don't know
the extent of what is out there.
