You should talk to the National Association of Blind Merchants about
what the vending program is like. There is a listserv called vendtalk
you can sign up for at www.netnet.org and they have a web site,

Subject: [Jobs] re. loss of job
Hi peter and everyone else.
My hang up at thsi point isn't loss of job, but the emotional roller
coaster of trying to build up a career, fighting the hastle of "we need
someone to tune pianos at all of our stores, but you don't drive...What
if wee need you to go tune a piano at the last minute somewhere?" This
can put a damper on a person's joy if one lets it, and trust me it's
hard not to let it. This is why I find working for myself better if I
could just get established. I've grown tired of applying for jobs just
to make a quick buck to help my family only to find that I lose it due
to the eye sight issue, burn out, or the fact of not being able to take
advantage of it due to travel issues and conflicts with my present
career, piano tuning.
Here's something i'm going to check out however, and I've already called
someone about it, but I was told to speak with my local Vocational Rehab
office. It's called the vending program. Maybe someone here more
versed in this could shed some light on this for the rest of anyone who
hasn't heard of this yet. This will also refresh any of us who have
gotten a sample taste of information about it.
Have a great Sunday. Be blessed, and I do apologize if my post about
jobs came ac ross negitive.

ps. my wife says that piano tuning is my second love. Sh e's already in
tune.
