>The Computer Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the Oakland lions Blind Center Computer Technology Lab, and the Center Computer Instructors.  The Computer Services Coordinator oversees the training of computer skills to adults with visual impairments and/or multiple disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

>1.      Provide overall supervision, management, and technical support for instructional staff and clients in the Technology Lab.

>2.      Manage daily operations and maintain lab facility. 
> 
>3.      Manage caseload of current Technology Lab Consumer Clients.
> 
>4.      Develop technical documentation, usage logs, and training curricula. 
> 
>5.      Develop creative teaching techniques to promote learning. 
> 
>6.      Prepare and submit annual and semi-annual reports to analyze consumer progress and effectiveness of the Technology training program.
> 
>7.      Responsible for management of instructor’s student records, progress reports, and other administrative duties relative to tracking consumer progress.
> 
>8.      Remain current on new and developing technologies and innovating teaching techniques.
> 
>9.      Develop and maintain program policies and procedures in accordance with DOR certification and/or accreditation standards.
> 
>10.  Conduct outreach seminars and technology trainings for a variety of public audiences.

>11.  Participate in consumer meetings and the Center’s IDT, Staff, and Health and Safety meetings.

>12.  Install, configure, and troubleshoot software in conjunction with the Center IT provider.

>13.  Work with consumers in partnership with their instructors to achieve consumer goals/objectives.

>Abilities, Technical Skills, and Physical Requirements
> 
>Knowledge of:
> 
>·        The following hardware and software proficiency is absolutely required: PCs, scanners, printers, CCTVs, Windows Operating Systems 98, ME, 2000, and XP, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Express, and Internet Explorer.
>·        Current principles of instruction in adaptive technology and the education of adults with visual impairments.
> 
>Technical Skills: 
>·        Proficiency in the following adaptive/assistive technology, including: Jaws, Magic, OpenBook, WindowEyes, and ZoomText (levels 1 and 2); ability to work with tutorials. 
>·        Experience with and understanding of people adjusting to vision loss. 
>·        Experience working with people with multiple disabilities.

>Minimum Qualifications
> 
>Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation, Education, or related field 
> 
>Two years experience providing instruction in adaptive technology.

>Expertise with adaptive technologies utilized by visually impaired individuals.

>Excellent interpersonal skills; experience teaching individuals with visual impairment, prior experience in a management position.
> 
>Teaching Credentials preferred.
> 
>Current certification is required for First AID and CPR.
