You'll find some professional looking backpacks at store that sell 
briefcases, such as Office Max.  They're really very nice looking and 
something I'd definitely carry.  Some of them actually are better looking 
than regular briefcases.  That's what I'd put my laptop in because carrying 
it on my shoulder is rather painful.

Hmmm...Maybe looking harder for the right kind of backpack is in order then.
The last time I got one, it was a great backpack but it was made for
roughness and it came from GI Joe's.  Great backpack that, but no good for
something like this I'm afraid.  But maybe if I look around...
