Jessie,
Really good points here.
Right now, I don't have a laptop so I can't really demo Jaws extremely well
for them. But I've been told to bring the disks with me anyway, so that
they have something to look at which is tangible. And of course what with
living in Portland and all, I definitely want to make sure those papers are
dry. But doesn't a shoulder strap briefcase look too much like a woman's
purse? I mean, most laptop bags have shoulder straps, but they look like
laptop bags and nothing much else. But I just want to use something that
looks conventional and conservative enough for a job interview.

Hi. You can get small briefcases that have shoulder straps or carry your
resumes and CD's in a notebook. Also, if you are going
to demonstrate adaptive equipment, you might just want to take your laptop
in which case you would carry the laptop in its case.
It is truly not a bad idea to try to keep a hand free even if you do have a
dog that rarely needs corrections. Mine doesn't
either but there are still doors that need to be opened, people's hands to
shake, chairs to move in and out, etc. that a free hand
is a good thing to have. And resumes in a folder inside a briefcase look
much nicer than wrinkled and water-spotted and the like.
