[Jobs] need advice please

As I said on the other list, I don't think this man's change of heart was
borne of prejudice, but rather concern about the potential problems working
with software that was incompatible with their computer network. Remember
he did say upfront that the company would purchase zoomtext. When zoomtext
didn't install properly, he was probably grasping at straws to find a
position that he though you would be able to do -- since you obviously had
zoomtext working at home, he suggested the only work they did off premises,
which was telemarketing.
If the accounting work they do there is a good match and something you
really want to do, then I think it is up to you -- at least meeting
halfway -- to work out the technical details, if indeed they can be worked
out.
I stay away from lawyers unless absolutely necessary.
Arming yourself with the law leaves a bad first impression.
Anyway, as I said, good luck!

It sounds more like he changed his mind about having a blind employee in his
office. My understanding is that accounting is a professional position but
tela-marketting is not. I think he just had a change of heart about hiring
a handicapped person. If it means that much to you I would contact a
lawyer. Judith
