Nonprofit Human Resources Manager

A nonprofit agency in Milwaukie Wisconsin with approximately 150
employees wishes to hire a blind human resources manager having at least
four years broad experience in all aspects of personnel administration.


This highly motivated professional will PLAN, DIRECT, AND COORDINATE
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES TO MAXIMIZE THE STRATEGIC USE OF
HUMAN RESOURCES; AND MAINTAIN FUNCTIONS SUCH AS confidential EMPLOYEE
data, employee COMPENSATION, RECRUITMENT, PERSONNEL POLICIES AND
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE. 

This is a strongly customer driven dynamic organization which provides
products to the federal government and has ten retail locations
throughout the United States including Florida and California.
Occasional travel to these locations may be required.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must possess excellent
verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate a thorough
understanding of current employment law; be proficient in Microsoft
Windows, Word, and Excel and/or Lotus 123 spreadsheet applications;
demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness; and work with
employees at all levels of the organization in a team environment. 

Representing the personnel function of this organization will require
the ability to work effectively with thirty other managers and
supervisors , the general public and government officials, as well as
the ability to act independently when necessary.  Because current
personnel files and most applications are hand written, the qualified
applicant must be able to read hand written documents and documents with
standard print sizes.

Milwaukee Wisconsin has excellent public transportation and a rich
cultural tradition as well as a national basketball and baseball team.
The agency prefers to employ a person who is legally blind or visually
