I really need some feedback on this. Last week, I had this interview for an
accounting position. The man who interviewed me said purchasing Zoomtext
would not be a problem, and he seemed really willing to accommodate me. This
Monday, I showed up w/ my copy of the software, and it wouldn't load onto the
computer at the office. So, we tried downloading the free trial from the website,
but that didn't work, either. And the man who hired me said the software is
too expensive for him to purchase. So, he totally changed his story, even
though I'd told him beforehand how much the software costs. To make a long story
short, he also changed his story about the type of work he wants me to do.
Instead of accounting, it's now at-home telemarketing. And it's not something I
think I'd be good at. I said I'd try it, and I'm still waiting to hear more
about it from the guy. Does this sound just wrong to any of you? I feel like
it's a step down, or like maybe he just wanted me to do telemarketing all
along, but wasn't going to say so? There are just some things that are making me
doubt whether I'd want to pursue this job. Any thoughts? Please let me
know. Thanks.
