AREA OF CONSIDERATION

DUTIES

       Serves as program analyst supporting the Computer Electronic

       implementation, management and oversight pertaining to

       support of CAP missions and goals. Serves as lead for

       acquisition management of the new program in support of the

       Wounded Service Member (WSM)Initiative Responsible for

       providing assistive technology and support to returning

       wounded service members with vision or hearing loss, upper

       extremity amputees as well as persons with communication and

       other disabilities to access the computer and

       telecommunication environment. Develops processes and

       procedures for CAP support and accommodations as they

       prepare for re-employment. Works closely with key staff at

       Military Treatment Facilities (MTF's) to provide nformation

       and assistive technology to wounded service members and

       their families. Oversee CAP Customer Satisfaction process

       involving customer notification and verification of

       accommodation receipt, vendor invoicing and follow-up to

       ensure receipt of order as well as prompt payment. Provides

       technical liaison with commercial sources, user groups, and

       other Federal agencies in the analysis, evaluation, and

       selection of computer and telecommunications equipment.

       Provides operational support to the Director of the

       Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program. Represents CAP

       in meetings, conferences, committees, or panels within the

       Department of Defense, other governmental agencies and at

       various public and private forums requiring technical

       Performs a variety of one-time and continuing assignments

The Defense Authorization Act of November 18, 1997, extended

This requirement remains in effect for five years after separation.
