For those of you who are nice enough to re-post information concerning the
availability of jobs, thank you. In the interest of those of us who are
extremely interested in seeing exactly what the listing is, would you mind
eliminating all of the extraneous "send-to's" within the message you are
reposting? And if you are the initial sender of a message to a list of
individuals and/or groups why not put all those wonderful friends,
acquaintances and professional colleagues email addresses in the "BCC" line
of your email and simply address the message to yourself in the "to", line.
If you are reposting a message you saw on another group, or what was an
attachment, why not just open the original message, copy and paste the
information pertanent to your post on this list and paste that information
in a new message addressed only to this list and saving all of us the time
of opening a message, opening an attachment, reading it, only to find that
the job doesn't fit our individual needs. Also, once you have copied and
pasted the information you can always eliminate any email addresses or stuff
at the bottom of a message which was only meant to be seen by the
subscribers to that other group where you initially saw the message.
To copy a message body, go to the top of the message text area, hit control
shift, end. Then hit control C, this should paste the message in to your
clipboard. Then, create a new message, remembering to put all those
wonderful people who absolutely need to know about this job in the "BCC"
line and re-send the message after getting in to the message body and
hitting Control V in order to paste the message you previously copied. This
also eliminates those unwanted "greater-than" signs although a software
program will also get rid of them, but also, after reading through your
post, you may yet, find other information which I sincerely bet you would
agree I could do with out. Do the letters TMI mean anything to you? How
about "Too Much Information."
The groups you submit your messages too, and especially those interested in
what you have to say will appreciate your efforts.
