Job Title: PROGRAM COORDINATOR					Start Date: IMMEDIATE

Description:
The Vera Institute of Justice seeks a Program Coordinator for the Accessing Safety Initiative. This initiative is designed to provide technical assistance to federally funded initiatives that address violence against women with disabilities and Deaf women, and is one of Vera's Programs-one vehicle through which the institute provides consulting and technical assistance to jurisdictions across the United States.

Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Program Director, Program Associates, and Program Analyst, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the following:
Essential Job Functions
*	Planning and coordinating events
*	Conducting in-person accessibility audits of potential meeting sites
*	Selecting meeting sites
*	Planning and managing logistics for major on-site and off-site meetings
*	Processing and tracking invoices and expenses
*	Coordinating conference calls
*	Developing and maintaining relationships with consultants, communities, and the program's funding agency
*	Maintaining database, bulk mailings, and fielding requests for information
*	Weekly updating and maintenance of the program's website
*	Maintaining a travel schedule of 25% of time worked
Additional Job Functions
*	Assisting in developing and managing a clearinghouse of resources related to violence against women with disabilities and Deaf women, disabilities, Deaf culture, and the Americans with Disabilities Act
*	Assisting in researching policies, practices, and procedures related to serving victims of domestic and sexual violence who have disabilities or who are Deaf to prepare for, and support, the work of this initiative
*	Synthesizing relevant information in writing and producing briefing memos and other substantive memoranda for staff, associates, practitioners, and event participants
*	Assisting in the writing of publications for practitioners and other national audiences on issues related to violence against women with disabilities and Deaf women
*	Compiling presentations and training materials for technical assistance engagements
*	Managing information through the departmental database

Qualifications:
The Program Coordinator should possess a college degree. Prior administrative assistant experience required. A demonstrated interest in and understanding of violence against women, disabilities, and/or Deaf culture is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates will be reliable, responsible, and have exceptional organizational and people skills. They should be experienced with PC-based word-processing, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Strong research and writing skills are a must. Out-of-state travel is required. Experience with updating and websites is preferred. 

Salary: Low to mid 30\'s. Excellent benefits available.
