Has anyone had experience with the California state application? I can't
get Jaws to work with the PDF version, and when I tried the page which was
supposed to contain two other types of application it said page not
available. If anyone could help in the next day with this it would be
greatly appreciated. You can email me at cgclose at earthlink.net or
catherine.close at opm.gov.

Thanks.

Subject: [Jobs] Types of Resumes

Somebody asked about the difference between chronological and functional
resumes.

A chronological one lists your jobs, generally most recent to first, in the
order you worked, with details. If you have gaps this makes it obvious.
So, some people with gaps use functional or skills-based resumes to show
what they did. Can also be good if you don't have a lot of work experience.
You would show a skill or ability you have, and bolster it with job and
other experience/education information, ultimately listing all your skills.

At least I think so.
