Are you passionate about web browsing, accessibility, innovation in testing practices and driving test efforts across multiple feature teams? If so come
join the Internet Explorer User Experience test team. We have an opportunity for a dedicated software design engineer in Test to head up accessibility
testing for the IE team.
In this position you will be responsible for helping to define and execute an accessibility test suite for IE. This will include testing for compliance
to accessibility standards as well as testing Internet Explorer's compatibility with various assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers,
voice recognition software and more. Testing will also include ensuring that IE works with Microsoft accessibility technologies such as Microsoft Active
Accessibility, windows high contrast and large fonts modes and future Microsoft accessibility technologies. Finally you will work with various feature
teams across the IE test team to improve the overall level of accessibility testing by individual feature owners.
We are looking for a strong candidate who wants to both help us adopt current best practices for accessibility testing and innovate in this space. The successful
candidate should have a B.S. in computer science or related experience, familiarity with Microsoft Active Accessibility and test automation, expertise
with C#/C++, comfort with HTML and web scripting and strong knowledge of IE's document object model. Candidates with a passion around technically challenging
testing and accessibility will find this opportunity one with much room to grow and have a large impact on product quality.
