Hi all - Here's an email you can forward with the updated court hearing
information.

We're happy to report that we have a new date and time for the court hearing
to finalize the remedial plan and appoint an independent monitor in the
Chicago APS case. The hearing is now scheduled for May 28, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.

For those who wish to attend in person:

Chicago, IL 60604

When you arrive, you have to go through security so we recommend arriving by
9:00 a.m. Please be sure to bring an ID to get through security.

Judge Hunt's rules for participation by phone: When matters are scheduled
for a telephonic hearing, the following policies govern all proceedings.
Telephonic hearings may not be broadcast, televised, or recorded. Members of
the public and the media may call in and listen. Participants should mute
their line when not speaking and refrain from activities that would cause
distraction or interrupt the proceeding. To mute/unmute, press *6 or the
mute button on the phone. Violation of these procedures may result in
sanctions, including removal of court issued media credentials, restricted
entry to future hearings, denial of entry to future hearings, or any other
sanctions deemed necessary.

We do not know how long the hearing will last but our best guess is about
30-45 minutes. The positive news is that the Plaintiffs, the United States,
and the City of Chicago have reached agreement about proposed changes to the
remedial order so it should be a cordial and celebratory hearing. The
parties have not yet reached agreement on a recommendation for an
independent monitor.
