Well it looks like we're going to have to do it again regarding this issue.
I guess from what I've heard that transit in the Chicago area could pretty
much be rendered useless by 2026 if action is not taken. I don't think we
need to go into it right now but we need to sign this petition. I signed it
about a 45 minutes ago. And the form letter is all written up. You just put
your name in here your address and the state and the city and zip code. And
hit the submit button. I'd hate to have to see the Chicago area lose about
2/3 of its transit. Lot of places around the country are going to be facing
this very thing. I guess like Philadelphia will start suffering Transit
loss sometime in august. And that means dozens of bus routes would be
eliminated in service hours would be drastically reduced. Weekend service
could be impacted. Paratransit access would be affected.
