Hello Everyone,

Thank you very much for all who have already called Senator Kirk's office to
express your opposition to subminimum wages for disabled workers.  For those
who have called and left voice mail messages, we are asking that you call
again and speak with Senator Kirk's staffer Emily.  For those who have not
called, please, please do so.

When calling in to Senator Kirk's office, please call the Washington number
which is 202-224-2854.  You will be presented with a greeting and several
options.  Be sure to press option 3 to speak to a staff member.  When you
reach a staff member, be sure to ask for Emily.

Also, when making your call, please identify yourself as a constituent and
as a member of the national Federation of the Blind.

In the Chicago Chapter, we have always met goals when they have been set.
Though this is a much bigger challenge than meeting one of our fundraising
goals, we can meet this one as well, provided everyone pitches in and gets
others to help.

Please ask Senator Kirk to vote no for the reauthorization of the Workforce
Investment Act, unless Section 511 of this act is removed.
