This is a reminder that the Illinois Association of Blind Students (IABS)
Teaching Excellence Award nomination period ends on September 30th. . You may
follow the instructions below
to nominate a teacher, or you may download the form from the NFB of
Illinois
website by visitting _www.nfbofillinois.org_ (http://www.nfbofillinois.org/)
and clicking on the IABS Teaching Excellence Award link. The nomination
form
is also attached to this message. Nominations will not be accepted after
September 30th.

2007 Teaching Excellence Award
Guidelines and Instructions
Background: The Illinois Association of Blind Students (IABS), a division
of
the National Federation of the Blind of Illinois and the National
Association of Blind Students, presents two Excellence in Teaching Blind
Students
Awards to deserving educators at the NFBI State Convention each fall. This
yearâs
presentation will take place in Rock Island, Illinois at the Student
Luncheon on Saturday, November 3, 2007. IABS will present one award to a
teacher
of blind children and one award to a teacher of blind adults. In order to
qualify, the educator must provide educational instruction, training,
resource,
or itinerant services to blind and visually impaired students in the State
of Illinois.
Instructions: Please complete this form and submit it by September 30,
2007.
