Hi Connie:
My name is Jan Creighton. I am a student again myself, trying to obtain my
master's in Vocational Rehabilitation. Do I understand you correctly in saying
that there is indeed a disability office at your current university? If there
is, you need to register with them immediately. There are ADA regulations
regarding schoolwork for blind and disabled students. The college's special
needs department is responsible for working with you to get accommodations for
courses even the online ones. My college is able to contact the publisher
direct for about 98% of textbooks to ask the publisher to send either a Word
file of the textbook in question, or a PDF file of the textbook. You must be
able to provide a receipt for the textbook for proof of purchase. With a
receipt to prove your purchase of the book, most publishers will make the
textbook available in either one of the above mentioned formats.
The big key is to get registered with the Special Needs department of your
University first. They will go to bat for you, and get you the accommodations
you need. Don't delay, it could cost you a failing grade for the course.
I hope this helps you, as I was stuck in the same boat as you many times over
the last two years.
Take care, and keep your chin up and don't forget the positive attitude.
Jan Creighton

I start a class online to obtain my Master degree, but I ran into problem after
having the class online. I have one teacher that is goning to work with me, and
one teacher that is not going to make excepts for me after I told hime I last my
voluteer reader. Because my book were not modified for me at this university.
And I just recently find out about the disability office. Could someone tell me
what to do next, and Is there a college that have master's degree in criminal
justice/law?
