We Really need to act on this tomorrow.

--Fellow Federationists,

Immediate action must be taken. The Senate has decided to skip the subcommittee mark up on the Legislative Branch Appropriations bill, opting to mark up the bill before the full Senate Committee on Appropriations on Thursday June 21. This will not allow us to see how much they have funded the Talking Books program until the bill is presented to the committee. We must call our Senators tomorrow, Wednesday June 20, and urge them to include full funding of the Talking Books program. You should also call the Chairman of the full Committee Robert Byrd of West Virginia, and Subcommittee Chairwoman Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, and express your feelings about the Talking Books program.

To be connected with your Senators office, please call the capitol switchboard starting at 9:00 am eastern standard time, at 202-225-3121. I count on all of you to make calls tomorrow to help us achieve our goal of protecting the Talking Books program.

Thank you for all that you do. Jesse
