Please find a message below from National Association of Blind Students
President Ryan Strunk concerning web streaming of this weekend's conference.
This will give those of us who can't travel to Washington the opportunity to
attend the NABS Conference in real time this Sunday from the comfort of our
favorite computer chairs.
Yours,
Ronza Othman
IABS President
What's better than attending the Student seminar at the National Federation
of the Blind's Washington Seminar event in person? Absolutely nothing! But if
you are unable to attend this year, we've got the perfect set up for you.
Thanks to J. J. Medaugh of J-Squared Access Solutions, NABS is pleased to
bring you the first ever Student Seminar in glorious real-time, right from the
comfort of your own home. You read correctly! Throughout the day, we will be
streaming various sections of the student meeting over the internet so that
those of you who unfortunately will be unable to join us in person will still
be able to join in the sharing of knowledge, experience, and collective
action that is the National Association of Blind Students.
During each period in which the seminar is assembled as a whole, including
the social address, you can expect to hear speeches and presentations from
some of the federation's most dynamic leaders. You'll be there with us as we
build our community, teach one another, and break new ground in changing what it
means to be a blind student.
Sounds fun? Here's how you connect.
Drop either of the following addresses into your favorite player:

Modem:

J. J. has informed me that if the above don't work, drop the /listen.pls and
try again.
Please keep in mind that as this is our first attempt at such an
undertaking, we may have a bug or two that needs to be worked out. We'll keep you posted
should any problems arise.
Whether you'll be there with us Sunday in person or over the internet, I
look forward to having you, and thanks for being such an integral part of our
movement.
Yours Sincerely,
Ryan Strunk, President
