Subject: [il-talk] Help With Cell Phone and Recording
I have started a writing project that will require interviewing people over the phone. Since those calls will be long distance, I would like to use my cell phone. But here is the catch: I want to record the conversations on a tape recorder.
I have an LG cell phone with a jack to connect a headset to it. I've tried hooking with appropriate adapters and cords from that jack to a tape recorder. I can hear the person on the other end, but then they can't hear me talking. Apparently, connecting into that jack on the phone also interrupts the part of the phone you talk into.
Has anybody got any ideas on how I can talk to someone on a cell phone and record at the same time?
Bob
