Dear All,

I am delighted to announce that this year's NABS Representative for the NFB
of Illinois State Convention will be Ryan Strunk. Ryan has served Illinois
often in recent years, serving as our NABS Rep at the 2004 State Convention and
then again last spring at the Student Seminar, "Opening Doors, Opening
Minds." Ryan served as President of the National Association of Blind Students
from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, he served as NABS Treasurer. Additionally,
he served as the Nebraska Student Division President for several years.
Ryan has chosen to remain actively involved in the academic sphere and now
teaches Braille for Ho`Opono, the Hawaii Commission for the Blind Training Center.

I have no doubt that Ryan will continue to support IABS in its efforts to
change what it means to be a blind student. His dilligent work with NABS and
his continued support of Illinois set the example we need to spread the
message that "our future begins now."

Yours,

Ronza Othman, President
Illinois Association of Blind Students
