I want to invite each of you to apply for one or more of the internship programs we are offering at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The application process began today (November 1) and will conclude on January 16, 2007. You can apply to a number of different programs, so please read the program descriptions carefully and make your selection based on your talents, qualifications, and interests.
You can apply online at http://university.gsfc.nasa.gov/application
Also, we have another program that is specifically geared for students with disabilities called ACCESS. To apply to this program, please contact Mrs. Laureen Summers at (202) 326-6649 or by email at lsummers at aaas.org.
If you know of others who would be interested in applying for a NASA internship, please pass this message along to them.
If you need any assistance with the application, please feel free to contact me by phone at (301) 286-0844 or by email at Denna.s.lambert at nasa.gov. If you have questions that relate to a specific program, please contact the individual listed in the program description.

Subject: [vmwb] Opportunity to join the AccessComputing Team
I'm back from Japan, still adjusting to the time change. I mentioned to some of you at the VMWB about the AccessComputing Alliance. Here is more details.
For those of you who are already in or studying to join the computing field, I would like to tell you about an opportunity to join the AccessComputing Team. The AccessComputing project, centered at the University of Washington, serves to increase the participation of people with all types of disabilities in computing fields of study and employment, including software engineering, IT management, and teaching. As part of this effort we support an "AccessComputing Team" of high school and college students, graduate students, faculty and employees in or interested in pursuing computing fields. Through membership, you will become part of stimulating group discussions and learn about resources that can benefit you as you pursue college and careers, such as paid summer internships.
I hope you consider joining us as part of the AccessComputing Team. You can fill out an application at http://www.washington.edu/accesscomputing/team_app.html.
Best wishes,
Richard
