Hey All,
I'd like to take a moment to thank all
those involved in making the meet the
blind month event at UIC a successful
one. From what Ronza has implied, the
event went tremendously well. It is
these types of successes which will
define the student association as an
organization changing what it is to be
blind.

>Hello Everyone,
>
>The Illinois Association of Blind
Students and the Chicago Chapter of the
National Federation of the Blind held a
Meet the Blind Month Event at the
University of Illinois Chicago Campus
earlier today.  Volunteers distributed
literature, demonstrated technology such
as the Braille Lite and JAWS, and wrote
people's names in Braille for them.  The
event went so well that the volunteers
ran out of literature well before the
event ended.

>Thanks to Steve Histallis, Joe Monti,
and Patricia Foxx for manning the tables
and helping to change what it means to
be blind.
