I have found out recently from another individual who’s blind that one can become a social worker. Since I would like to specialize with patients in a behavioral health setting my question is: Are there any social workers that have worked in this setting? How have they dealt with documentation in the Electronic Health Records system? I've found out that Epic works well with Jaws but my testing with Jaws using EClinicalWorkwith is that it's not accessible. Any information about the above matter would be appreciated. Lstly, FYI a clinical social work can porvide dibetes education to patients. So if I do pursue becoming a social worker I'd be really interested in doing the above. As a Retired TVI, I learnt about the ramifications with regards to its effects on the eyes and also have read a medical text about diseases and understand the effects of dibbetes on various body systems, not to mention that I've had relatives who have dealt with diabetes.
