First diagnostic step is to restart your iPhone. The setting should take
effect immediately. Try creating a new message thread after that to see what
happens.

I think I tabbed, but not positive.  The General Eudora list has some ideas

Since you are batting 1000, how about an iPhone question.

I have a 14 Pro, and am running latest OS 18.2.1, I think.  I was having
trouble delivering iMessages, so switched my phone to RCS. 
Recently I decided I needed to send real iMessages, so switched it back.

I was entering a message to someone with an iPhone, and when I hit send I
got the message, could not send  you must enable iMessage on your phone. I
thought it was, I did it in settings, applications, messages.

What am I missing.?
