[GUI-Talk] Question about the new Outlook email client for Windows

Hello Beth:
The New Outlook is slated to replace the free Windows Mail program in short order. Those of us who are using the paid Outlook program, now called Outlook (Classic), do not choose to revert to the free New Outlook, but those people who rely on free email programs such as Windows Mail can use the New Outlook with minimal difficulty in terms of compatibility with screen reading software. There may be a learning curve for you as you transition to the New Outlook, so be aware of this possibility.
Kind regards,
Curtis Chong

Subject: [GUI-Talk] Question about the new Outlook email client for Windows
Hello.
I have a PC running the latest version of Windows 11, and have been using mail for windows as my email client. Now, every time I click on Mail, I get a message nagging me to switch to Outlook. I’m hesitant to do this, because I’ve heard that this particular version of Outlook isn’t very accessible. Is it safe to switch, or do I need to subscribe to Microsoft 365 in order to get a version of Outlook that’s easy for me to use with a screenreader? Thanks for any help, because I know I’ll have to do something soon!
Beth
