Hi list ken here with a question. I have the new NLS braille Ereader and have really worked to put it through it’s paces. Have it pared with the iPhone and have worked to learn both devices. When I first pared the reader to the iPhone via Bluetooth, I experimented with software TTY to see if the reader could be used that way. It didn’t work. But I was wondering what about enabling hardware TTY on the phone. I would of course have to turn it off when not using it so I could receive regular calls and so I’d be able to hear callers, but would the braille Ereader or for that matter any Bluetooth connected device make it possible for me to call a deaf friend independently without the relay? Would I be able to input to her and would my braille reader receive her responses also would voice-over give any feedback? Or does a keyboard have to be physically linked to the phone and an adapter obviously going through the lightning port.
