I sent my suggestion to Google on the 1st. Thank you for your feedback on
it. I think I'll wait to give more feedback because I don't want to bombard
them.
For those of you who want to try to navigate the new Google News layout...
If you want to jump past an article, press Y to go by span. Each span has
the article's date in an abbreviated format, like "15 mins ago." The
publisher name is a link. The article title is under the publisher name
link. The article title reads as non-link text, so you just have to remember
you visited the article. When you close out of an article back to the
results, you have to scroll down one line to see the article title again
because the cursor scrolls up to the publisher name link. If you want to go
to a previous article you saw, press V to go to the previous visited link. I
know, this is way more convoluted than the old layout, but it's doable if
you go really slowly.
Example with Fictitious Content
Link: "Jen's Newspaper"
Non-link text and article title: "Article by Me"
Non-link Text: excerpt of "Article by Me"
Span: "1 day ago"
I hope this helps.
Jen
