Warning. This will be long...

Hi Rob and All,

This was one of the most difficult things I had to navigate when I
transitioned from Outlook Express and Windows XP and Outlook to Windows 10.

I'll use two examples to show how to go to the address book because it's
different in Outlook.

Example 1
You have two friends, me (Jen) and John. You want to send an e-mail to John.

1. If you only have me in your address book and you are in the "To" space,
press J, and then press CTRL, K to press the "Check Names" button; this
makes Outlook search your address book for my name.
2. When Outlook comes up with "Jen," press Enter.
3. To make sure you have my name in the message, press CTRL, Tab. JAWS will
say, "To Jen."

Example 2

You have both John and I in your address book, and you only want to e-mail
John.

Do the same thing as in the first example, but press "jo" instead. Then,
press CTRL, K to make Outlook bring up John.

Outlook has a function calledthe "AutoComplete List," which stores the names
of people you've e-mailed; it is on by default. So if you have the
AutoComplete list enabled, which it is by default, you could just press J,
and if you've e-mailed John and I in the past, both names would come up, and
you could press Enter on the one you wanted.

To turn the AutoComplete list on or off...

1. Press Alt, F for the File menu.
2. Press T for the "Options" menu.
3. Press M until you hear JAWS say, "Mail."
4. Press Alt, G to check or uncheck the "Use AutoComplete list to suggest
names when typing in the to, CHIEF COMPLAINT, or BCC Fields" check box.

4. If you want to empty the AutoComplete list, which removes all the names
you've e-mailed in the past, press Tab, and then Space to pressthe "Empty
Auto-Complete List" button.

I hope this helps.

Jen

What is the shortcut key if I'm sending an
email & I need to go to the address book to find the name. I'm using Outlook
2013. I know I can just press a letter & names will come up, but, there are
some people in my address book that pressing a letter won'g find that
person.

Sorry for the convoluted email.
