Hi Rob,

1. Go to the "File" menu.
2. Go to the "Info" menu.
3. Go to the "Office Account" menu.
4. Press Enter on the "About Outlook" button.

Another way to tell wht version of application you are running is...

Press CTRL, Insert, V while you are in the application. JAWS will read the
version number to you.

In that same concept, how do I know what version of Outlook I'm running? I
was told everything was updated, but I'm not sure if I'm still running
Outlook 2013 or not, or is there really a difference?

Ted,
Thank you! I just did the cleanviews thing, and it's working great now. Does
your Outlook still work with JAWS now, after you reset the default views to
the ones you want? Whenever I reset the default views to the ones I want,
that is when the "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working" message gets thrown
at me. The crazy thing is, Outlook had been behaving itself for a year
before this mess.

Everyone,

I found something on the Microsoft site which shows you how to revert to an
earlier version of Office 2016. Do you think I should do that?

Jen,

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago. Outlook would crash
whenever I went to my inbox. I called the Microsoft disability hotline
(800-936-5900) and after some trial and error this finally worked:
1. Press windows key + r to open the run dialog.
2. type the following and hit enter -
	Outlook /cleanviews

If that doesn't work, call the hotline.

Regards,

Ted Shelly

Hi everyone,

I've been having a problem with Outlook 2016. I am running Windows 10,
Office and Outlooki 2016 and JAWS 18. This problem started on the 4th. I
started being unable to switch between folders. When I tried to go from the
inbox to, say, "Sent Items," "Contacts," etc, it would crash Outlook. In the
beginning, the problem went away by itself. I have recreated my profile and
account about three times now, and the problem goes away for a while but
comes back shortly thereafter. I tried deleting and recreating my "Outlook"
profile, but this didn't work, either. This problem only started after I
repaired Office 2016 on July 31. Today, I discovered I can press Enter on
the folder I want with JAWS off, and when I turn JAWS back on, I can open
the folder successfully. Has anyone else had this Outlook problem? Is it a
JAWS issue? If you have had this problem before, how did you fix it? I would
greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.

Jen
