[gui-talk] Seeking Feedback About Zoomtext Fusion

David,

I've been using the product for about 3months now. Prior to the upgrade I
had Zoomtext 10.1 and Window-eyes on my computer, but hardly ever used
Window-eyes as the integration between the two products was not good. With
Fusion, AIsquared has done an excellent job of putting the two products
together - it all works rather well. For years I've had issues with freezes
and crashes using Zoomtext, especially when using Office 2013 apps. That
has definitely gotten better with Fusion. The platform is more stable now,
though I still have occational issues requiring an app or system restart.

There are a couple of features that got dropped in the process of combining
products. You can't save and load multiple configuration files as you could
with Zoomtext 10.1 and earlier. Another feature missing is the background
reader, which I rather liked but is not a huge issue for me that I no longer
have it. There are one or two other features missing as well. Many hot
keys have changed. With similar functions between Zoomtext and Win-eyes,
they chose to use the Win-eyes hot-key, such as the "say time" hot-key.
That takes some getting used to but I've managed the transition.

All in all it is a good product. I certainly wouldn't go back. Since I had
both products before the upgrade was only $99, though I don't know if that
pricing is still current.

Regards,

Ted Shelly

Subject: [gui-talk] Seeking Feedback About Zoomtext Fusion

I received a private inquiry regarding the Zoomtext Fusion software from AI
Squared. While I am familiar with this program's concept and overall
features, it is not something I have used and so I wasn't in a position to
offer objective feedback about it. I'm curious as to how the program is
performing, both regarding the enlargement components of Zoomtext as well as
the screen reading components of Window-Eyes. I was also trying to locate ZT
Fusion discussion groups but could not locate any on the sites which are
known to host such groups. Any objective feedback is appreciated.
