Hi, 

Kindle Fire is not as accessible as Apple's products, but it's quite useful.

Gestures are similar to Talkback with some exceptions. It also doesn't have
some Talkback functionalities, e.g. you can't label graphics. 
So if you are used to Android devices Kindle Fire may be for you. But if you
are a student or a scholar who needs to access and read footnotes
comfortably, I would recommend iPad or iPhone. 
I am using Kindle Fire HD6 and I'm satisfied, though the device has
limitations especially for users of other languages than English.
