Good Evening all:

I have a question which might be a little off topic. 

Last week, my fiance noticed that the screen on the computer had a  crack in it. We have a flat screen computer. 

The computer showed  a black screen.After restarting the computer, it came up normal. My question is this:

Can the glass on the computer be replaced? If so, is this something that might cost more than getting a new computer? 

I am concerned about this, bcause this is really my fiance’s computer. She is fully sighted, and I would like this computer to be usable for her as well.
