[gui-talk] More IE Bug Material - Work-around

Gregory:

You're welcome. I've implemented the first work-around -- turned on advanced
protection -- and, other than a box legitimately warning me of a PDF file
download that I knew was OK because I trust the site (it's for our local ham
radio club), I've noticed nothing different or amiss. Of course, peoples'
mileage may vary.

Thanks for your wisecommentary.

Mike

Mike,

Those are good workarounds.

For the benefit of all (not Mike) keep in mind they are workarounds and not
fixes. I encourage anyone that puts these workarounds on to keep accurate
notes so that if something does not work as expected you will have notes to
look at to jog your memory as to what the last change was to your system.

When MS has a fix you may need to back-out the workaround that you choose
that best fits your computing environment.

Take care for now. Mike, thanks for staying on-top of this issue for the
list.

P.S. Text the word BLIND to 85944 to donate $10 to the NFB Imagination Fund
via your phone bill.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
