No, I am sorry to say that this does not work. It continues to do auto fill
and reloads the page so that I cannot type over it.

There are some menu and layout differences between Firefox running in Linux
and in Microsoft but this should be fairly close.
In your Firefox menu; Edit >. Preferences >. Privacy Tab >. down to Remember
Search and Form History and uncheck that item. For this to take effect you
may have to restart Firefox. Beware! If you rely on the form fill function
for other uses, you might not want to uncheck this, or maybe take a look at
some form filling add-ons or a password manager such as Last Pass which has
a good set of form filling functions.

No Microsoft garbage used here, sent by a very satisfied Linux-Mint
<http://www.linuxmint.com/> user (a former disgruntled Microsoft user).
You could check out Vinux, Linux for the visually impaired
<http://wiki.vinuxproject.org/>.
This email and any attachments are not virus scanned either, that's up to
you poor Microsoft users to deal with.
I'd rather be a dangerous, wild Linux Penguin than a docile, domesticated,
Microsoft sheep.
