[gui-talk] Avast antivirus and thunderbird

A friend who was using MSE for her antivirus has made the change to the 
free version of avast antivirus.  She is also using Thunderbird as her 
Email client.
Since making the change to avast she can no longer send Emails with 
Thunderbird.  Has anyone else experienced this problem and found which 
settings need to be changed to make avast and Thunderbird play well 
together?
