Sherri:

First, in Adobe XI, you have to set it up so that the PDF does not open in
the browser. Go to Edit and then run the Accessibility setup.

If this does not seem to fix the problem, you should contact me offline.

Cordially,

Curtis Chong

Subject: [gui-talk] saving a file as text in Adobe XI

I am using Windows XP and just installed Adobe Xi. I receive faxes from a
secure site for my work. Most of the time, they read well with Adobe.
However, with version 9, I got the option of saving as a texts document.
With XI, they seem to have the appearance of looking like the document is on

a web page. I just want it to download as a temp file to my documents and
then let me decide what to do with it. When it downloads as it now does, I
do not have the option to save it as a text document. How can I change this
option. I don't want it to appear as though it is on a web page and I want
to be able to save a copy as a text document. I have viewed the settings,
but to no avail. When the document is opened, I just see the settings as
though it is a web page. Any help would be appreciated and I send my thanks
now in advance so as not to clutter the list.
Sherri
