Morning, Dave. I have eudora 7.1.0.9, but can't open attachments. I've
searched the web and find there are many others with the same problem and I
don't know what that is. 

Would please explain how you open attachments? Do you have paid mode? Some
say that makes a difference. All I can tell you is that I cannot open
attachments and I don't know how to solve the problem.

I am not sure what you mean by "no provisions have been made for
attachments."  With my Eudora, 7 point whatever it is, attachments are
automatically saved in the eudora\attachments folder as always.  In most
messages, there is a link to the attachment at the bottom of the message as
well.
