[gui-talk] IE8 problems

I am having exactly the same problem at work, except, they have Jaws 9
there, I get a message on the braille display that tells me to press a
button to open the parent document, pressing it does no good, anyone with a
mouse can do whatever they want so they are not understanding the problem,
then again, Jaws 9 was not meant to work with IE 8 but when they asked me if
they upgraded to 13 which they plan to buy next fiscal year would I have
problems, I said probably not but since I can't get our intranet from home
and I am using 9 at home, I only could assume that it would work.

This all happened yesterday, as we were using 7 until then and a lot of my
research on medications, disease processes, etc, have had to be on Googgle
or other search engines since they took all the books we used to have and
tossed them, took them out of the budget because we have the internet. I
don't seem to have it right now, and thought about taking my old laptop in
so I could at least do the research however, for some reason it won't open,
I have access, as I could load SA and get windows updates, just for some
reason no IE. Will have to work on that one but having it ready for Sunday
when I work again may be a problem. Only other choice I have is to use my
iPhone. I have seldom used it for such so I have to learn to be more
efficient with it and remember to take the cord for it.

Corporations are a pain in the backside when they don't even inform you they
are doing an upgrade and one morning something that has worked for 10 years
suddenly does not work.

Subject: [gui-talk] IE8 problems

Hello, everyone,

I am using Internet Explorer 8 with JAWS 13 and Windows Vista.

I have been having an intermittent problem lately that causes the cursor to
be stuck on the top line, as if the page is not loaded. Yet, a sighted
person can move freely in the fields. This has not happened on the first
page of a form, but occurs after a Next button.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Rick
