[gui-talk] FW: [Cavi-discuss] Webvisum in trouble?

Good morning all,

Thanks to my good colleagues at Cisco Academy for the Visually Impaired
(CAVI), a promising workaround has been discovered to enable us to access
WebVisum despite the expiration of the public access domain, which we all
hope is only a temporary circumstance. The instructions for this alternative
solution, which enables access to the Webvism host server, appear below.
HTH and best regards,
Rob "Jayhawker" Tabor

For now, only the webvisum.com domain is dead. You can still connect to the
API with the following steps, though I have no idea if that, too, will go
down at some point, which will kill it off for good. We don't need
webvisum.com to use the service, but we do need the Webvisum server and API.
But until then:
1. Open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.
2. Using Notepad, open the file "hosts" with no extension.
3. Add the following line to the end of the file:
204.14.19.231 api.webvisum.com

webvisum as I do to donate $5 each to sustain the project, and hopefully
inspire a bit of new dev work.
