Does it support those old versions of Firefox? Using the more current
version it seems to work fine.

Subject: [gui-talk] Could Webvisum Finally Be Gone for Good?

This morning, when I launched Firefox 3.6, instead of the familiar "Alert,
you are logged on to Webvisum" welcome message, I got a server connection
error. So I visited a web page that contains an image captcha, but when I
attempted to submit it to Webvisum for decoding by pressing
Alt-Control-numrow 6, nothing happened. And the solve captcha option was not
available on the context menu either. I visited www.webvisum.com, and was
dismayed by the following message:

NOTICE: This domain name expired on 06/19/2012 and is pending renewal or
deletion.

This web page is parked FREE, courtesy of GoDaddy.com

I don't know much about Go Daddy, but I think it is a web hosting service.
>From the message, it sounds like Webvisum's domain name expired yesterday,
and the Webvisum site is apparently gone. I certainly hope that this isn't
the case, and that this is just a temporary glitch. But Blind Cool Tech
guru Rick Harmon, who is much more knowledgable about these things than me,
believes that it may finally be gone for good. If this is indeed the case,
are we going to be forced to rely on sighted help from now on to solve image
captchas? Is there anything the blind advocacy groups can do? Can anyone
shed some light on what's up with Webvisum? Thanks.

    Gerald
