Downloading a .WAV file will be somewhat daunting as a .WMA file that was,
say, 50 megabytes in size might well result in a .WAV file of 2 gigabytes or
more.

I'd say go to <http://www.nchsoftware.com> and take a look at Switch sound
file converter. The free version might well handle this and the paid version
handles many more formats and is well worth the money.
