One of the easiest ways is to go to the import/export menu off the file menu
and export the favorites to bookmarks, then you can reimport them into the
new browser.

                    I have an old machine running ie6.  Is there a quick way
to export the favorites and import them to a machine running ie8?  Is it as
simple as going to the favorites directory and copying it to a directory on
the ie8 machine?  Any information would be appreciated.
