Malware Bytes would be a good free accessible alternative to Spy Sweeper.
And if you're concerned about rootkits, Sokos Anti-Rootkit and Kaspersky
TDSS Killer are two free anti-rootkit scanners thatcan augment your
anti-malware protection.

Subject: [gui-talk] Thoughts on Renewing Webroot Spy Sweeper

Greetings.

I have used Spy sweeper for several years and have been notified that it is
renewal time again. I recall being told a year or 2 ago by a company rep
that Webroot has it over other anti-malware packages because it features a
root kit monitor. However, it would seem that other security firms would
have time to develop root kit monitors in their malware fighters. Malware
Bytes is very popular currently, and I'm wondering if it is safe to make the
switch to Malware bytes or something else. I welcome any thoughts on this or
any other malware protection packages.

Best regards,

Rob Tabor & Guide Cane Raúl Junior
