If you are in high school, the school district has a legal obligation to
provide the technology that you need to be able to do your school work.

This depends somewhat on what you want to do with the computer, but,
have you tried system access or NVDA? If you just want to do every day
things on your computer, these screen readers will work fine, no reason
to buy the most expensive screen reader if you don't need to
