I sure wouldn't trust my computer to a light-dependent person; said persons
often mess up settings and I have the Devil's own time resetting them!

Hi Mike, 

Well, my new computer is a laptop with a touch pad.  I didn't want to
disable the touch pad because I have sighted people who come over and assist
me from time to time and I wanted them to have it.  Plus
I didn't like the keyboard on that computter either, so I solved both
problems by going to a separate USB keyboard that I like much better.  We
also removed some of the weird stuff that was bothering me, and it appears
to be working much better now, and I'm much happier.

I've heard there were issues with windows Live mail also.

Additionally, I gather Gary Wunder thinks some of the hang-ups in Windows 7
are JAWS-related. In truth, however, I have encountered them with NVDA also
or no screen-reader in the circuit. I did a disk cleanup and this may have
helped some but not sure. Also, when windows Update is doing its thing,
sometimes the system acts squirrely even with a powerful up-to-date
processor.

Is a puzzlement.

Pam,

It sounds as though you are using Window-Eyes.  You should report this to
the GW-Info list as I know there havde been some unusual things noticed with
Windows Live.  I'm not saying there is anything wrong with reporting it
here, only that your experience might be useful in helping them find a
solution.
