You are invited to a town hall meeting hosted by the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) Blindness/Low Vision (BLV) Special Interest Group at ATIA’s 2010 Chicago Conference. The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. It will be held in the Utopia B Room at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center.

The focus of the open-forum meeting will be to identify today’s challenges and help guide the direction of assistive technology. You are being invited to share your concerns regarding obstacles facing individual users and support professionals, resources needed for individuals’ success, and feedback to blindness/low vision vendors.

We encourage all interested stakeholders to attend, including educators, assistive technology specialists, rehab professionals, workplace specialists, occupational therapists, researchers, vendors, consumers, and caregivers. This is a unique opportunity for parents and their children to express their concerns.
